This circular walk takes in an old Hill Fort, Sandstone Gorge, ancient woodland, typical Sussex fields, with plenty of steps, rocks, stiles, plants and bird life.

A 4.5 miles walk from Cuckfield westwards through shady woods to Deaks Lane and Broxmead Lane passing through Pookchurch vineyard with two quiet road sections.  With 83 metres of ascent and descent it is a typical High Weald walk: ghylls to traverse making it more taxing than the distance alone suggests. There are fine views across the low weald to the South Downs.

A delightful 2.1 miles circular walk lead by Alison through ancient meadows and woodland with a wide diversity of plants, insects and birds. We were serenaded with competing Black cap bird songs expertly highlighted by Rick.

Circular walk from Pycombe "old A23 cul-de-sac" seeing ten species of butterflies, hundreds of grasshoppers and scores of our county flower, The Pride of Sussex.

A 4.2 miles, almost circular route to see Early-purple orchids (EPO) and much more.  195 metres of elevation make this a good workout in perfect weather and with great company.

A circular route with the aim of seeing early spring flowers, in particular Purple Toothwort. To see the pictures, open in App. With 163 metres of ascent and descent on steep, slippery, muddy paths this walk is more demanding than the 4.2 miles distance suggests.

Bus to Worthing and seaside walk back via Widewater nature reserve

Nine of us on a figure of eight walk enjoyed eight species of orchids (Common twayblades, Pyramidals, Fragrant, Common spotted, Greater butterfly, Early purple, Fly, Bee orchid), butterflies, great views and most pleasurably, wonderful company. Please note this software has a bug and has altered the distance in error.  It should be 5.2 miles and NOT 6.4 miles, which is wrong!
