Cycle and explore hidden treasures in Central Portugal, passing by beautiful river beaches and where centuries of History, tradition, and landscape remain preserved. Located between Lisbon and Oporto and accessible through Coimbra, Guarda or Castelo Branco, the Schist Villages of Portugal quickly transport you into another world. In this traverse you will bike village to village, sleeping in some of the 27 Schist Villages of Central Portugal. The route pass by forest areas, fluvial beaches, climb Lousã, crossing several important rivers and breathtaking landscapes! And believe it, you will be surprised by some secrets that the local inhabitants keep for you.

Nesta travessia, vai pedalar de aldeia em aldeia, passando por zonas florestais, praias fluviais, pela subida épica da Lousã, atravessando vários rios e paisagens deslumbrantes e pernoitando em algumas das mais emblemáticas Aldeias do Xisto. Vai cruzar séculos de história e tradição e, acredite, vai surpreender-se com alguns dos segredos que os habitantes locais guardam para si.

The Bike Tour Center Based in the Portuguese Historical Villages is a label “Clean & Safe” self-supported bike holidays adventure with the label “Clean & Safe” and the “Less is More” policy. This means that we had in mind a safer and relaxed way for our customers to make their holidays in Portugal’s countryside, avoiding the crowds, with a center-based trip only with two lodgings. The beauty of this Bike Tour allows to cycle in locations of elevated historical nature. Find many ancient villages spread in Portugal’s center, each one more surprising than the one before, such as the Portuguese Historical Villages of Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, Almeida, or Marialva. The organization provides tools that make the adventure possible, integrated into a follow-up structure, guaranteeing information, and security services. While crossing such mesmerizing landscapes you will find these castle villages at the end of the day, after going through perfect desert roads or ancient trails that lead to the top of the hill. This center-based group of loops starts in two different locations along the week, Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo and Juízo, and it goes through some of the most impressive Portuguese natural regions like Côa Valley, with their cave paintings, or Faia Brava, the first private conservation area in Portugal.

Bike on your own rythm exploring the beauty and quietness of the Alentejo. In each spot you will be surprised by different points of interest including bird watching opportunities. The local gastronomy will be one the highlights of your trip together with cultural and historical sites.

A beautiful itinerary, cycling through breathtaking landscapes and feeling the breeze ruffling your hair... to really experience Portugal as a local. Today you'll follow in love with endless beaches, sand dunes, obelisks, chapels perched on the ocean, wooden walkways along the ocean where we will pedal follow the  Way of St. James path; picturesque fishing villages and delightful little restaurants overlooking the sea, where you can taste the best freshly caught fish! This is the place of many stories, anecdotes and legends about authentic and ancient lands; I will tell you about them during our wonderful bike tour, along a coastline frequented only by locals! Divertiti a scoprire la costa atlantica di Porto con una guida locale italiana! Porto è la seconda città più grande del Portogallo; indubbiamente la più autentica e caratteristica del Paese.  Oltre ai monumenti imperdibili, si affaccia sull' Oceano Atlantico e la sua costa atlantica è meravigliosa. Spiagge infinite, dune di sabbia, obelischi, cappelle arroccate sull'oceano, passerelle lignee lungo oceano dove pedaleremo sulle orme del Cammino di Santiago; villaggi pittoreschi di pescatori e ristorantini deliziosi che si affacciano sul mare, dove assaggiare il migliore pesce fresco, appena pescato!
