Tursykling i Veržej

Der Murradweg gilt aufgrund seiner abwechslungsreichen Landschaft als einer der schönsten Flussradwege im Alpenraum. Er nimmt im Nationalpark Hohe Tauern seinen Ausgang und begleitet die Mur bis zur Mündung in Kroatien. Im Norden sind es die Berge mit ihren Almen und Bergseen, die für Abwechslung sorgen, im Süden sind es die Felder mit Mais, den typischen Ölkürbissen und den ausgedehnten Auenlandschaften, von denen es nicht weit in die Weinberge ist. Dazwischen befindet sich die Genuss- und Kulturhauptstadt Graz, die Genuss Hauptstadt Österreichs und Kulturhauptstadt Europas 2003 mit den UNESCO-Weltkulturerbestätten Altstadt und Schloss Eggenberg.

Die Tour soll an die Deutsch-Ungarische Freundschaft erinnern und verbindet die beiden Partnerstädte Fellbach und Pécs. Die Route führt durch die Alpen, an Mur und Drau entlang in die pannonische Tiefebene bis nach Pécs. Die Strecke führt größtenteils über gut fahrbare Feldwege und kleine Nebenstraßen. Landschaftlich ist die Route sehr abwechslungsreich und bietet viele interessante Gegenden auf dem Weg. Wer Richtung Rumänien unterwegs ist, kann die Tour sehr gut als sportliche Alternative zum Donauradweg nutzen. Viel Spaß!
